We adopted Sassy at the age of 6 and did not change her name. Some say pets live up to their names and Sassy sure did. She fit the dictionary description of “sassy” perfectly; lively, bold, and full of spirit. Sassy had a soft side as well, mothering three other kittens that made their way into our household through the years and tolerating the puppy who grew into a 90 lb. dog. That sass enabled her to live a full and happy life to age 19. Her human, canine, and feline family miss her deeply. Rest in peace our precious girl.
