If my pet passes away at home are you available for residential pickup?
Yes. We offer at home pick up services. Please call (570) 655-1212 to schedule a time. We are available seven days a week.
If my pet passes away at the veterinary clinic what are the procedures?
If you haven’t made prior arrangements, give us a call at (570) 655-1212. Tell your veterinarian that your pet is going to use Cherished Companions Pet Memorial Center, that you have made arrangements and we will arrive shortly to transport your pet. If you prefer to transport your pet yourself, you are more than welcome to bring them in.
Our office hours are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm. After hours by appointment. We are available seven days a week.
Can I be present during the cremation?
Yes. If you would like to be present for the cremation of your pet we will arrange for a final private visitation at our facility. We are here to assist you in every way we can.
Can my pet be cremated with his favorite toy, blanket or other sentimental objects?
Yes, of course. We will include anything that was near and dear to your pet. Just let us know in advance of your wishes.
Can I be assured that I am receiving my sole pet’s cremains?
Yes. At Cherished Companions Pet Memorial Center, all pets are cremated individually. In fact, we insist on it. As pet owners ourselves, we understand the emotional attachment to your pet and wouldn’t have it any other way. Our Pet Proof ID system tracks your pet through the entire process guaranteeing your individual pet’s cremains are returned safely to you.
Can I make arrangements in advance for my pet?
Yes. We encourage you to do so. The loss of a family pet is tough and having to make arrangements during this time is an added burden. That said, we encourage those with the opportunity to do so, to call or come in ahead of time. We are here to help and guide you every step of the way.
Do you offer services for small animals?
Yes. We offer cremation services for all animals up to 250 pounds.
Can I visit your facilities prior to making arrangements?
Yes, we encourage and welcome you to visit our facilities. We are open 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday. Weekend availability, by appointment.
Do you offer home euthanasia services?
No. We do not offer euthanasia services but can refer you to veterinarians who provide these services.
How do I post my pet’s memorial to your site?
Please provide us with a picture and the accompanying text that you would like posted to your pet’s memorial page via email at cherishedcompanionspmc@gmail.com
and we will post it to the site for you.
